Streams of cooperation, seas of opportunites

The Department of Research, Development and International Activities aligns with top management strategies, focusing on innovative R&D projects for efficiency, sustainability, and circular economy. 
It collaborates internationally on projects, workshops, and events to foster cooperation, capacity building, and engineering. These actions are guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Compact principles, promoting international cooperation for water resource enhancement and protection through knowledge transfer.

Goals

  • Sustaining a portfolio of R&D projects funded by Horizon Europe, Life, etc.
  • Managing EU-funded international cooperation projects with Mediterranean partners.
  • Enhancing the AQP International Water School by sharing AQP know-how through capacity building and training programs.
  • Strengthening AQP's involvement in international hydro-diplomacy and participating in international engineering tenders backed by Multilateral Development Banks.

International Water School

The International Water School is part of a process already started by the top management of AQP aimed at exchanging knowledge and skills in the water use. The commitment of the Department is to strengthen and share awareness and best practices on water management with countries of the Mediterranean basin, in the view of looking at water as an engine of social and economic development.
