The R&D project WATERGY project, financed by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, aims to reduce the impact of energy consumption of the Integrated Water Service by increasing efficiency and promoting self-production, resulting in reduced energy costs.
The project involves the development of advanced and innovative technologies, the use of which will be promoted beyond the life spam of the project and in scenarios even different from those of the demonstration phase.
The benefits of the project include:
a) reduced energy consumption and operating costs;
b) renewable energy production; and
c) reduced use of resources and consequent reduction of climate-altering gas emissions.
