CrossWater is an international cross-border cooperation project funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro program. The project aims to establish an efficient and effective cross-border water management system in the program area.
This goal was achieved through the joint development of new infrastructure, technologies, and control and measurement systems. As part of CrossWater, four pilot projects were implemented in the regions of Apulia, Molise, Albania and Montenegro. These initiatives focused on water resources protection and optimization of water supply management.
Capacity-building activities involving technicians and decision-makers and an awareness-raising campaign targeting citizens, particularly youth and families, were also carried out to promote responsible and sustainable use of water resources.
