SmartWaterTech – Smart community for the development and application of Innovative Monitoring Technologies for Water Distribution Networks in Drinking and Agricultural Uses – is an R&D project funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
The project is aimed at identifying tools and strategies that allow not only to maintain an adequate level of safety in drinking, irrigation and industrial water supply and service over time, but also efficient and cost-effective monitoring of water systems, also with reference to water and wastewater treatment.
Innovative equipment for locating leaks in water distribution networks has been successfully tested in the AQP pilot case.
